On the occasion of Prime Minister Abe Shinzo stepping down from office, the Project 2049 Institute wishes to recognize the achievements of Japan’s longest serving Prime Minister. His remarkable record of accomplishments have been instrumental in strengthening the U.S.-Japan Alliance and improving economic ties with the United States. I hope to see the U.S.-Japan relationship continue to strengthen in the spirit of Prime Minister Abe’s efforts while in office. We wish for his swift recovery and a smooth transition of leadership in Japan.
