Japan faces both opportunities and challenges in the U.S.-Japan alliance and regional and global engagement efforts in 2014. As the capstone event to the two-year program titled, “Japan’s Global Engagement and U.S.-Japan Cooperation†sponsored by the Sasakawa Peace Foundation, the Project 2049 Institute is hosting this roll-out event to highlight and discuss key themes of the program, facilitate greater understanding of Japan’s foreign policy, and outline effective recommendations to promote Japan’s global and regional engagements.
