IAN EASTON: … For the Chinese military, the ports in Taiwan matter a great deal because Taiwan’s … potential invasion beaches are not very big. And because Taiwan is relatively well-defended … [the PLA] would need to land a lot of troops on Taiwan to have any reasonable prospects of actually successfully pulling off an invasion and occupation campaign…
